About Parenting Path co-parenting app

We started with the reviews.

Every other co-parenting app was built as a documentation tool. Record what was said. Timestamp the argument. Give attorneys something to work with. After years of reading thousands of one-star reviews across OurFamilyWizard, TalkingParents, and AppClose, the pattern was impossible to miss. Parents were not frustrated that the apps failed to document enough. They were frustrated that the apps documented everything and changed nothing.

That is the product gap we built Parenting Path to close.

Eight complaints. Eight features.

Every core feature in Parenting Path traces directly to a documented, recurring complaint from real users of existing apps. This is not a feature list — it is a response list.

"OFW puts a warning sticker on the hostile message and then delivers it anyway."

We built an AI that holds hostile messages and rewrites them before they send — not after they arrive.

"My court order says 60/40 for medical expenses. The app only does 50/50."

We built a split engine that supports any ratio, per expense category, auto-populated from your actual court order.

"I updated Google Calendar but forgot OFW. My co-parent showed up for a pickup that had moved two hours."

We built true two-way sync with Google and Apple Calendar. Both ways. In real time.

"My court order has a 14-day travel notice requirement. No app reads it. I missed the deadline by one day."

We built a court order engine that uploads your PDF, extracts every rule, and monitors compliance every morning.

"The app's always-on location sharing conflicts directly with my DV safety plan."

We built a complete DV safety mode — covert icon, emergency exit, GPS stripping, screenshot detection — free on every plan, invisible to the co-parent.

"My attorney spends 4–6 hours organizing records before any legal work can start."

We built a one-click court report that takes under 90 seconds.

"The app knows everything about both parents. Nobody tracks how the child is doing."

We built daily mood check-ins, transition checklists, and therapist share mode — the first co-parenting app that sees the child.

"The only path from a hostile message thread to resolution is a $350/hour attorney."

We built structured dispute resolution with neutral AI prompts, proposal exchange, and digital signatures.

One price per family.
Because charging two parents twice for the same product is wrong.

OurFamilyWizard and TalkingParents both charge each parent separately. A family on their premium plan pays $600 a year. Both parents are court-ordered to use it. Neither can leave. That is a captive market and we do not want to be part of building one.

Parenting Path charges the family. Both parents are covered. All children are covered. One price. That is also why safety features are free on every plan — the parents who need them most are often the ones who can afford them least.

What Parenting Path is not.

Not a mediator. We do not adjudicate disputes, take sides, or tell either parent they are right. The app holds information. It surfaces patterns. It helps both parents communicate better. What you do with that is yours.

Not a surveillance tool. Both parents see the same data. Neither has a privileged view. Child wellbeing data is visible to both equally. Safety Mode protects one parent from the other — it does not spy on anyone.

Not a therapy service. Parenting Path reduces friction. It does not heal the relationship. If you are dealing with high conflict that goes beyond what an app can address, a co-parenting counselor or therapist is the right resource. We are a tool. We are a useful tool. We are not a substitute for professional support.

Safety features are never paywalled.
That is a permanent commitment.

Emergency Quick-Exit, EXIF metadata stripping, covert app icon, notification privacy, and app switcher blur are available on every plan including Free. They cannot be moved behind a paywall in future pricing changes. This is stated explicitly in our product principles and not subject to revision for commercial reasons.

If cost is a barrier to accessing Pro features for a family in a dangerous situation, a court subsidy program and DV waiver codes exist. Ask your case worker or contact us directly.

What we are still building.

Several modules — child wellbeing, dispute resolution, court reports, the professional portal — are Phase 2 features launching after the core app. The core messaging, calendar, expenses, court order compliance, and DV safety are the launch set.

We are building in the order that serves the most urgent needs first.
